I did the same thing, like multiple guildies. Killing him a second or third time usually gets the bonus roll working. No one I know that got the bug, had to kill him more than 3 times to get the bonus roll to work.

Meaning, you will have one world boss per week (in the beginning of BFA). This world boss requires a raid to defeat it. You will have a chance on loot that has 355 ilvl reward. The world boss in Arathi when havoing warfronts gives 370 ilvl. You will also be able to use extra bonus roll loot (Seal of Wartorn fate) which you can buy 2 of each week.

Comment by Calesta Fate-Twister Seress offers four (4) ways to obtain your three (3) Seal of Tempered Fate per week to be used for bonus rolls during raids. Some follower missions in your garrison also reward seals and currently don't appear to count against your weekly total.
Please forgive my ignorance but I can't seem to make the math work on this. 500G gets you a bonus roll during a raid, which is a bit like a bonus roll in Las Vegas. Sometimes you pay for the trip and sometimes you need to leave town immediately on a bus, possibly without your luggage. Pretty sure this is one of Griftah's ventures. Maybe Donald Trump is involved as well.
